Just your phone, a browser… and this. Look straight down the lens, hit play on your phone, and read. That's the whole trick.

    Open your script in the prompter. Paste your text or import it from Google Docs, then hit Prompt on the device you'll place under your camera.

    Tap Share and scan the QR code. Point your phone's camera at the code — it opens a live remote in your phone's browser. Choose “Can control” or “Read only”.

    Read, and drive it from your hand. Play, pause, restart and adjust speed on your phone while you look straight down the lens. The big screen follows in real time.

Teleprompter remote control — FAQ

Do I need to install an app to use my phone as a teleprompter remote?
No. Teleprompter24 runs entirely in the browser. You open your script on one device, tap Share to get a QR code, and scan it with your phone — the phone opens a normal web page that mirrors the script and controls it. Nothing to download on either device.
Do I need a hardware Bluetooth teleprompter remote?
No. The phone in your hand is the remote. Physical Bluetooth teleprompter remotes cost $20–100 and pair with one app; here any phone controls the prompter over the internet, for free, so there's nothing to buy or charge.
What can I control from my phone?
Play and pause, scroll speed, and restart-to-top — all update on the big screen in real time. Font size and mirror-flip stay local to each device, so the phone can show comfortable small text while the screen under your camera shows large text.
Does the script stay in sync between the two devices?
Yes. The devices share a live session over a WebSocket, and the mirror uses motion prediction to stay smooth between updates instead of stuttering or trailing behind. Change a setting on your phone and the camera screen follows instantly.
Can someone else control the teleprompter while I read?
Yes — this is great for two-person shoots. Share a 'Can control' link and a director or friend runs play, pause and speed from their own device while you look at the lens. Share a 'Read only' link instead if you just want a second screen to mirror the script without controlling it.
Is the remote control feature free?
Yes. Remote control, mirroring and the teleprompter itself are completely free. Sign in with Google, load a script (paste it or import from Google Docs), open the prompter, and tap Share.
